Construction Update
Beginning Monday, Aug. 6, a portion of Connell Avenue will be closed through the spring of 2009. During this time, access via Connell Avenue will be available to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin from 92nd St. and to the Children's Hospital Emergency Department from 87th St.
The front entrance to Children's Hospital has been closed to the public so that we may prepare to expand our facilities. During this time, we ask that all patients, families and visitors enter the hospital through the skywalk located on the second floor of the Children's Hospital parking structure or through the Clinics Building entrance.
As Children's Hospital of Wisconsin continues to grow to meet the needs of our community, we want to bring to your attention two very important changes that may positively impact your next visit to our hospital:
- Children's Hospital offers free valet parking to patients and visitors. Valet parking will be available from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Families who choose not to use the valet parking service may continue to park their cars for free in the hospital's parking structure.
- Connell Avenue, the street directly in front of Children's Hospital, will provide access to and from the hospital parking structure and main entrance beginning in late April.
 When traveling to your child's appointment, watch for the easy-to-follow signs to reach your destination.
As we continue to make Children's Hospital a better place, our staff and volunteers are committed to keeping you and your family informed about our progress. To get your child to his or her appointment on time, we encourage you to use one of the following tools before traveling to the hospital:
- Call our construction hotline at (414) 266-1700. This phone number will provide you with easy-to-follow directions to the hospital and parking information during our construction period.
- Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of your appointment in case of construction delays. Please bring all of your paperwork along with you.

A partir del lunes 6 de agosto, un tramo de la avenida Connell estará cerrada hasta la primavera del 2009. Durante este tiempo, el acceso por la avenida Connell estará disponible hacia Children's Hospital por la calle 92, y hacia el departamento de emergencias de Children's Hospital por la calle 87.
La entrada principal del Children's Hospital está cerrada al público en preparación de nuestro proyecto de expansión. Durante esta época pedimos que todos los pacientes, las familias y las visitas entren al hospital por el "skywalk" (pasillo elevado), ubicado en el segundo piso del estacionamiento del Children's Hospital, o por la entrada principal del edificio de las Clínicas.

- Children's Hospital ofrece un servicio gratuito de aparcacoches ("valet parking") a los pacientes y las visitas. El servicio de aparcacoches estará disponible desde las 5:30 a.m. hasta las 7 p.m., de lunes a viernes. Las familias que no eligen usar el servicio de aparcacoches aún pueden estacionarse sin costo en el estacionamiento del hospital.
- Connell Avenue, la calle justo enfrente de Children's Hospital, proveerá acceso al estacionamiento y la entrada principal del hospital en ambos sentidos de circulación a finales de abril.
Cuando vaya a la cita médica de su hijo, busque las señales fáciles de seguir para llegar a su destino.
Mientras hacemos un esfuerzo para mejorar el Children's Hospital, nuestro personal y nuestros voluntarios se comprometen a mantenerlo informado acerca de nuestros progresos. Para asegurarse de que su hijo/a llega a su cita médica a tiempo, le rogamos que haga uso de alguno de los consejos siguientes antes de viajar al hospital:
- Llame a nuestro número de información sobre el progreso de las obras al (414) 266-1700. En este número obtendrá instrucciones sencillas sobre cómo llegar hasta el hospital y dónde estacionar durante el período de obras.
- Por favor, asegúrese de llegar al menos 15 minutos antes de su cita, por si hubiese retrasos ocasionados por las obras. Pedimos también que traiga todo el papeleo para la cita consigo.
