The physicians and staff in the Variety Orthopedic Center provide state-of-the-art treatment for everyday and difficult or rare pediatric orthopedic problems.

• Cutting-edge care: Children's Hospital of Wisconsin has installed an EOS low-dose radiation scanner, one of two in a pediatric hospital in the nation. Families already are traveling across the country. Watch one family's story. The Orthopedic Center primarily is using the scanner to aid in treating children with scoliosis and other chronic orthopedic conditions that require frequent full-spine imaging. We diagnose and treat a variety of orthopedic problems, including:

Our team

Our team of pediatric specialists includes board certified orthopedic surgeons, a sports medicine specialist, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses who specialize in orthopedics, orthopedic technicians who apply splints and casts, and licensed occupational and physical therapists.

Pediatric orthopedic nurse clinicians coordinate inpatient stays, discharge planning and follow-up clinic visits. The clinic nurses provide support and educational information for patients and their families undergoing surgery or involved therapies.

To help ensure that we provide the best care for kids and families, the Orthopedic Center offers a special nurse line. This message center allows families to have their questions or concerns addressed quickly. An orthopedic nurse will respond within 60 minutes and is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although messages can be left anytime.
