The Pain Program at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin consists of a team of pain specialists who provide inpatient and outpatient care for children with acute and chronic pain due to illness, injury or surgery. The Palliative Care Program combines excellence in interdisciplinary clinical care, education and advocacy to enhance quality of life and comfort for children with life-threatening diseases.
Jaundice
A yellow color of the skin and eyes that is caused by too much bilirubin in the bloodstream due to liver problems.

The middle section of the small intestine.

Jugular Veins
Veins that carry blood from the head back to the heart.
Juvenile Delinquent
A person who acts illegally and is not old enough to be treated as an adult under the laws of the community.
Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA)
A form of arthritis in children ages 16 or younger that causes inflammation and stiffness of the joints.
Juvenile Xanthogranuloma (JXG)
Primarily is a self-limited dermatologic disorder that rarely is associated with systemic manifestations. Infants and small children mainly are affected. The eye, particularly the uveal tract, is the most frequent site of extracutaneous involvement. Juvenile xanthogranuloma is the most frequent cause of spontaneous hyphema, which can result in secondary glaucoma and eventual blindness. Its etiology is unknown.
