Overview of Airway, Digestive and Voice Center
Children with complex aerodigestive abnormalities, which impact breathing, voice, swallowing and feeding, require integrated support from multiple specialists. The Airway, Digestive and Voice Center at Children's Hospital provides and coordinates the full range of services these children need for proper diagnosis and effective treatment.
All of the care children receive is coordinated by the center. Team members from all involved specialty areas collaboratively develop treatment plans and confer regularly on children's progress.
Appointments are scheduled in as short a time frame as possible to help reduce families' stress, allowing them to meet with a variety of experts quickly and conveniently. Our team understands the importance of detailed and timely communication that facilitates ongoing care by the child's primary physician.
In addition to the airway, digestive and voice specialists who routinely see children in the center, many patients also require the support of the wide variety of pediatric experts at Children's Hospital. Children referred to the center often benefit from the exceptional care of our anesthesiologists, surgeons, neonatologists and critical care specialists.
