In its March 2013 issue, Parents ranked Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee fourth in the nation in its Best Children's Hospitals survey. This is the third survey in a row where we've been in the top 10.

Preemie and Newborn Care ranked #1
Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides state-of-the-art care for more than 700 infants each year. As a Level IV unit, we provide hope to preemies and babies with the most complex health problems. As infants improve, they often are transferred to our special Newborn Progressive Care Unit, which helps their families prepare to take them home.

Orthopedic Care ranked #6
Staff in our Variety Orthopedic Center provides care for everyday and difficult or rare pediatric problems. We use special imaging equipment to reduce radiation exposure and avoid possible negative side effects on growing bodies when treating conditions such as scoliosis. Our Sports Medicine Program offers specialized concussion care to ensure the best evaluation and treatment for young athletes.
Heart Care ranked #7
The Herma Heart Center at Children's Hospital is one of the nation's top pediatric cardiac programs. Our team of specialists has some of the best outcomes for medical and surgical treatment of congenital heart defects and heart disease in children. Their expertise includes diagnosis and treatment of fetal cardiac issues, Marfan syndrome, heart transplants and services for adults with congenital heart disease.
Pulmonary Care ranked #8
Our pulmonary specialists are nationally known for their work in treating breathing issues that range from asthma to extremely complicated conditions. We are one of a handful of hospitals with the expertise to care for children with complex tracheal disorders. Our cystic fibrosis care and research is cutting edge. We offer a pediatric sleep center that treats respiratory, non-respiratory and behavioral sleep problems.
Cancer Care ranked #9
Our Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is among the largest and most experienced pediatric programs. We are 1 of just 21 centers nationwide designated as a Phase I Center by Children's Oncology Group. This allows kids in our care to benefit from clinical research trials that explore new therapies for childhood cancer. We use innovative alternative donor options to offer blood and marrow transplants to more patients.
