The Child Development Center is dedicated to the care of children with developmental disabilities from infancy through adolescence. Services are provided directly or in collaboration with other pediatric specialists to provide high-quality, family-centered patient care, education, prevention, research and advocacy.

We diagnose and treat the following:

• Developmental delays.
• Mental retardation.
• Language and communication disorders.
• Autism and pervasive developmental disorders.
• Learning disabilities and dyslexia.
• Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
• Chronic illness.

Outpatient services include:

• Infant and toddler developmental assessment.
• Autism, Behavior and Communication Disorders Clinic (ABC Clinic).
• School performance program.
• Cognitive disabilities program.
• International Adoption Program.
• Neonatal Developmental Follow-up Program. 
• Child psychiatry consultation.
• Medication clinic.
• Referral to other specialists as needed. These can include neurology, genetics, ophthalmology, audiology, gastroenterology, psychiatry.

Location
The Child Development Center is located on Level I of the Curative Care Network building, across the parking lot from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Free parking is available in the Children's Hospital parking structure. Parking for a fee is available at Curative.
