MILWAUKEE (6/11/2013) - Nine pediatric specialties at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin have been ranked in the 2013-14 edition of U.S. News & World Report's Best Children's Hospitals 2013-14 report, now available online at usnews.com/childrenshospitals.
The rankings include: Cardiology and Heart Surgery, 11; Neonatology, 19; Pulmonology, 23; Orthopedics, 27; Gastroenterology, 35; Neurology and Neurosurgery, 36; Nephrology, 38; Cancer, 42; and Diabetes and Endocrinology, 49.
The rankings highlight the top 50 U.S. hospitals in 10 pediatric specialties. Eighty-seven hospitals ranked in at least one of the specialties.

Now in its seventh year, Best Children's Hospitals pulls together clinical and operational data from a lengthy survey, completed by the majority of the 179 hospitals asked to participate for the 2013-14 rankings. The survey asks hundreds of questions about survival rates, nurse staffing, procedure volume, and much more can be viewed on http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/pediatric-rankings and will be published in the U.S. News Best Hospitals 2014 guidebook, available beginning in August. The data from the survey is combined with recommendations from pediatric specialists on the hospitals they consider best for children with challenging problems.
