The proposal includes an on-sight shelter for victims, law enforcement services, medical and social services, legal services, district attorney services, mental health and AODA counseling, faith-based services in a building to be built at 619 W. Walnut Street in Milwaukee.
"At Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, our vision is that Wisconsin's kids will be the healthiest in the nation," said Peggy Troy, RN, MSN, President and CEO, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. "We believe that to achieve that vision we need to wrap ourselves around the entire family, and include them as partners. When the Family Justice Center is open, families impacted by violence will have integrated resources available all under one roof. We look forward to working with the Governor, our legislative leaders and partners throughout the state to improve the lives of children by decreasing family violence."
Providers and government agencies housed at The Family Justice Center will include:
- Sojourner Family Peace Center
