MILWAUKEE (8/17/2012) - Children's Service Society of Wisconsin kicks off its second Ribbon Tie for Foster Care on Wisconsin Avenue at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 20, at the Shops of Grand Avenue in downtown Milwaukee.
Employees from area businesses and members of the community will gather as volunteers to place ribbons around trees from 6th and Wisconsin proceeding east to Prospect Avenue. In addition to raising awareness for the critical need for foster homes in Milwaukee County, the event will introduce current foster care families to community members and potential new foster parents.
Who: Community members, volunteers and the media are invited to participate.
What: Ribbon Tie for Foster Care on Wisconsin Avenue.
Where: Begins at the Shops of Grand Avenue, 275 W. Wisconsin Avenue. Milwaukee.
When: Registration begins at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20. The ribbon tie begins at 10 a.m. on 6th and Wisconsin Avenue proceeding east to Prospect Avenue.
