MILWAUKEE (7/13/2012) - Babies who are in critical condition and must be transported will be well cared for thanks to the generosity of high school football players. Representatives from the 2012 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Charity Football Game, benefiting Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, will present a check to Children's Hospital on Friday, July 13 at 2 p.m. The combined efforts of the players and coaches raised more than $368,000 this year for patient care programs at Children's Hospital.
Who: High school football players will present a check to members of the Children's Hospital transport team and Tim Klunk, Executive Director, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Fox Valley.
What: Children's Hospital of Wisconsin transport program provides 24 hour pediatric and neonatal critical care transport services via mobile and helicopter to children throughout Wisconsin. The donation will be used to purchase The AVIATOR Infant Transport System, state-of-the-art equipment used when transporting children.
"There will be no losers," said Tom Swittel, President of the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. "This All-Star game provides us the opportunity to help those less fortunate than us. We all win when someone benefits from our effort."
