  CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF WISCONSIN ADDS NEW CLINICAL DIRECTOR
 

MILWAUKEE (10/30/2007) - Pamela Smith Trapane has been named clinical director of the Neurofibromatosis Clinic at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. In this role, she helps manage the care of more than 200 patients with neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis and other neurocutaneous disorders. Trapane also is a lecturer in medical genetics at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Trapane has worked as a clinical geneticist at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Va, and at the Naval Hospital in Camp Pendelton, Calif. She completed her residency and fellowship at the University of Texas – Houston.

Trapane holds a master's degree in biology from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center - San Antonio. She and her family reside in Germantown, Wis.
