MILWAUKEE (8/13/2007) - Noodles & Company restaurants in the Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha areas will sell paper links to benefit Briggs & Al's Run & Walk for Children's Hospital. The $1 links will be available for purchase Aug. 15 to Aug. 28, and will form chains that will be displayed in each restaurant.
Briggs & Al's Run & Walk will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 12th and Wells Street in Milwaukee. The event includes an 8K run or wheelchair race, and 3- and 5-mile walks.
There are three ways for individuals to register:
-Online registration is available through noon Friday, Sept. 14, at www.alsrun.com.
-Individual participants can register at the following Boston Store locations: Bayshore Mall, Brookfield Square, Grand Avenue Mall, Mayfair Mall and Southridge Mall. Registration dates and times are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7 - 8 and noon - 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 9
-Same-day registration begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, near the event start line.
Advance registration is $20 for adults and $8 for children 12 and younger. Same-day registration fees are $25 and $10. All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt.
Throughout the past 29 years, Briggs & Al's Run & Walk has raised more than $8 million for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. One hundred percent of the proceeds directly support a variety of programs at Children's Hospital, including the Al McGuire Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Hematology/Oncology/Transplant Unit, where children with cancer and blood disorders are treated.
