MILWAUKEE (8/2/2007) - The forecast for major blizzard activity throughout the United States and Canada on Thursday, Aug. 9, is not about the weather. It is about helping children in need. After thermometer-busting temperatures in recent weeks, Dairy Queen's Miracle Treat Day is the perfect way to enjoy cool treats and help kids.
Proceeds from the sale of your favorite Blizzard flavor in Wisconsin will benefit Children's Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals including Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Children's Miracle Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for pediatric medical centers. Dairy Queen has supported Children's Miracle Network since 1984, raising more than $64 million during that time.
Large orders for Blizzards may be placed prior to Aug. 9. Last year, this event raised more than $65,000 for Children's Hospital and more than $2 million nationwide. To find a location near you, visit www.dairyqueen.com.
