DAVE & CAROLE'S MIRACLE MARATHON TO RETURN TO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL MAY 23-25

MILWAUKEE (5/21/2007) - Thanks to the generosity of 96.5 FM WKLH listeners, the Dave & Carole Miracle Marathon raised more than 1.3 million dollars for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in 2006. The 2007 Marathon begins 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 23. Now in its tenth year, the Miracle Marathon is the largest annual fundraiser for Children's Hospital.

For the 60-hour event, WKLH's morning team of Dave Luczak and Carole Caine will broadcast from Children's Hospital. At the hospital, Dave and Carole connect with the patients and families who share their experiences at Children's Hospital.

"We believe passionately that Children's Hospital is such a valuable resource to families not only here in Milwaukee, but across the state," Luczak said. "That's why we're about to embark on our tenth Miracle Marathon." To date, this event has raised more than $8.6 million to support advocacy initiatives, research efforts, education programs and premium health care programs at Children's Hospital. "We need to keep doing what we're doing so the people at Children's Hospital can keep doing what they're doing," added Caine. "When we meet these courageous kids and miracle-working caregivers, it makes the Marathon one of the most important things we do all year."

By 5 p.m. Friday, May 25, Dave & Carole hope to have surpassed 2006's donation total. In addition to phone-in donations to (414) 337-WKLH (9554), online donations can be made at www.wklh.com.
