MILWAUKEE (5/7/2007) - Seventeen-year-old motivational speaker and children's rights advocate Gregory Smith will be the keynote speaker at the Safe at Home Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9. The event will be held at the Pfister Hotel, 424 E. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee.
Smith speaks to world leaders regarding the importance of education and protecting the well-being of children. He is the youngest graduate in the history of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va. At age 13 he graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and minors in History and Biology. Last year, at age 16, he completed his master's degree in Mathematics at the University of Virginia. He now pursues a doctorate in Mathematics at the University of Virginia.
The Safe at Home Luncheon benefits the Child Abuse Prevention Fund, the Child Protection Center and Children's Service Society of Wisconsin. Individual tickets are $100. For more information contact Children's Hospital and Health System Foundation at (414) 266-3626.
