MILWAUKEE (3/20/2007) - Marc Gorelick, MD, of Wauwatosa, Wis., has been appointed as the new associate director of the Children's Research Institute. In this role, Gorelick will provide a broad-based and balanced approach to the translational strategic vision of the research institute. Gorelick will specifically focus on the development of short- and long-term plans for patient-oriented research outcomes and health sciences research. In addition, he will work on regulatory activities and education for clinical research.
Gorelick has been with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin since 2000. Prior to being appointed as associate director, Gorelick was the medical director of Emergency Services. Before joining the Children's Hospital team, Gorelick was an attending physician and research director for pediatric emergency medicine at duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del. Gorelick received his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, N.C. He completed his internship and residency at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and his fellowship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
