Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Kenosha closed Sept. 30 All outpatient services in Kenosha remain open
The last day of operations for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Kenosha was Sept. 30, 2009. All other services provided by Children's Hospital and Health System in the Kenosha area remain open, including outpatient services located at Kenosha Medical Center Campus.
"Our organization is committed to the needs of children and families in the Kenosha area," said Peggy Troy, MSN, RN, president and CEO of Children's Hospital and Health System. "We will continue to offer services to the Kenosha community, and we continue to explore new opportunities to provide the services area families need close to home."
If a Kenosha-area child must be admitted to a hospital after Sept. 30, 2009, that child's doctor will help determine if a local hospital can meet that family's needs. Some children may require specialized care that is offered at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
