Jane B. Pettit Pain and Palliative Care Center

The Pain Management Program at Children's Hospital consists of a team of pain specialists who provide inpatient and outpatient care for children with acute and chronic pain due to illness, injury or surgery. Pediatric anesthesiologists, psychologists, advanced practice nurses and therapists combine individual and family therapy, medication, acupuncture, stress reduction and physical/occupational therapy to treat patients.

In addition, the pediatric Palliative Care Program at Children's Hospital combines excellence in interdisciplinary clinical care, education and advocacy to enhance quality of life and comfort for children with life-threatening diseases.

Both programs conduct clinical research in pain management and palliative care in children.
