Child Abuse Prevention Fund
The Child Abuse Prevention Fund provides financial support for prevention activities in Wisconsin to help ensure a safe environment for children and educate professionals and the public about the role of prevention in eliminating child abuse.
The fund was created to combat the growing number of child abuse cases. From the start, we recognized the only true way to wipe out child abuse was through prevention - keeping child abuse from happening in the first place. Since 1988, the organization has distributed more than $10 million to support community-based child abuse prevention initiatives throughout Wisconsin.
Children's Hospital offers parenting resources
in communities statewide to help strengthen families.
We support professionals who provide child abuse prevention programs. Connect for Kids
, our quarterly e-newsletter, includes information about applying for funding, writing grants, upcoming conferences, prevention initiatives and current research.
Encourage members of your community to wear and display Blue Ribbons for Kids
during April, National Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month, and throughout the year to help increase awareness.
