Foster care for older youth
The teen years are a time to help youth grow into the individuals they will become. More than half of the teens in Milwaukee are residing in group care. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services is dedicated to finding families for all of the children we serve.
Most teens in foster care are there for the same reasons younger children are — abuse or neglect. Teens who exit the foster care from group care without a connection to a family are more likely to become homeless, on public assistance or incarcerated. You can make a difference.
