Should I be concerned about my child's stuttering?
November 18, 2014
Should I be worried about my child's stuttering? He is 3.6 years old and he has stuttered for over three months. When should I seek speech therapist?
It can be normal for children to appear to have a stutter especially between 2-3 years old as their vocabulary is expanding. This will usually resolve by four years old. If it continues or you are noticing your child tenses his face when he is trying to speak or that is causes him distress, it can be beneficial to be seen by a speech therapist for further evaluation and treatment.
