Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, which manages seven child advocacy centers in Wisconsin applauds the co-chairs of Joint Finance Committee Rep. John Nygren (R-Marinette) and Senator Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) for their leadership and making child advocacy centers (CACs) a priority for this budget. Children's Hospital of Wisconsin was pleased to work in partnership with the co-chairs, Attorney General Brad Schimmel, Rep. Dale Kooyenga (R-Brookfield), Senator Luther Olsen (R-Ripon), Senator Van Wanggaard (R-Racine), Representatives Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton), and Rob Hutton (R-Brookfield).

Northwoods Home Visiting earns accreditation from Prevent Child Abuse America

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services program, Northwoods Home Visiting, has been awarded accreditation by Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA America) as a provider of high quality home visiting services to families that want to improve their child’s health, nutrition and developmental outcomes. The accreditation process is based upon a stringent set of 12 critical elements grounded in more than 30 years of research.

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) announced a new $3 million gift from the Kelben Foundation to establish a Community Mental Health Initiative. The gift will support improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness to how children and families access mental health services in Milwaukee’s central city.
