Dairy Queen® Miracle Treat Day hits Wisconsin with a Blizzard® of activity - Blizzard treat sales Thursday, July 26, benefit Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
July 23, 2012
MILWAUKEE - It's been a real scorcher in Wisconsin this summer, but on Thursday, July 26, Wisconsin will be hit with a blizzard, a Dairy Queen® Blizzard® that is. Dairy Queen invites the community to come out with friends and family to raise funds for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin during the 7th annual Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day.
Participating Dairy Queen stores will donate proceeds from every Blizzard Treat sold that day to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, part of the network of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is a charity that raises funds for more than 170 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals makes sure that when a donation is made, it stays in the community, so that every dollar given goes to help local kids.
Last year, participating Dairy Queen stores nationwide and in Canada raised more than $5 million on Miracle Treat Day for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Since 1984, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $90 million through fundraising efforts including Miracle Treat Day, the Miracle Balloon campaign and other local initiatives, and is one of the top 10 contributors to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
The OREO® Blizzard Flavor Treat, still the most popular Blizzard Treat flavor of all time, will be featured as the Miracle Treat Day "Blizzard of the Day." New Blizzard of the Month Chocolate Candy Shop, as well as the rest of the Blizzard Treat flavors, also will be available on Miracle Treat Day.
