Walter selected to serve on national council to combat catastrophic injury among young athletes

Feb. 17, 2014 - Kevin Walter, MD, program director, Pediatric & Adolescent Sports Medicine, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, and associate professor of Orthopedics at the Medical College of Wisconsin has been selected to serve as a member of the National Council on Youth Sports Safety (NCYSS) to direct Protecting Athletes and Sports Safety (PASS), a two-year initiative to combat the incidence of catastrophic injury among young athletes.

Researchers recommend systematic monitoring of children with congenital heart disease (CHD) to increase early detection and appropriate intervention for developmental delays.
