PLAY it safe on the playground

Falls account for more than 75 percent of all playground-related injuries, making them the most common injury. Lack of supervision or improper supervision is associated with approximately 45 percent. The Kohl’s Cares Grow Safe & Healthy program, along with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, has developed an injury-prevention checklist to help keep children safe on the playground.
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Redesignated as a Level 4 Epilepsy Center

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has been redesignated as a Level 4 Epilepsy Center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). Level 4 is the highest level of specialized epilepsy care available. Children’s Hospital is the only Level 4 pediatric epilepsy program in the state.

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, which manages seven child advocacy centers in Wisconsin applauds the co-chairs of Joint Finance Committee Rep. John Nygren (R-Marinette) and Senator Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) for their leadership and making child advocacy centers (CACs) a priority for this budget. Children's Hospital of Wisconsin was pleased to work in partnership with the co-chairs, Attorney General Brad Schimmel, Rep. Dale Kooyenga (R-Brookfield), Senator Luther Olsen (R-Ripon), Senator Van Wanggaard (R-Racine), Representatives Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton), and Rob Hutton (R-Brookfield).
