Addressing children's mental health needs
Mental health can have a serious impact on physical health and the progression of a child into adulthood. Mental health also is associated with the prevalence and progression of chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
There is a shortage of pediatric mental health providers, so accessing mental health services is difficult for many families. Children’s Hospital offers families a number of options.

Behavioral health services are available at our offices in Glendale and Oak Creek. Providers at these sites help parents learn to deal with a child’s behavioral issues. Our experts include a pediatrician with a focus on developmental learning and behavioral issues as well as a licensed professional counselor and licensed clinical social workers.
